L’ Ensemble grégorien de Notre-Dame de Paris composante spécifique du dispositif musical de la cathédrale, il regroupe des chanteurs professionnels ayant reçu une formation dans le cadre de la Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris.
Ayant pour vocation la promotion des répertoires sacrés du Moyen Âge, toujours en lien avec la recherche musicologique, il se produit essentiellement dans le cadre de la saison de concerts à Notre-Dame de Paris, mais aussi partout ailleurs, en France ou à l’étranger. Il s’efforce toujours de porter une considération particulière au lieu où il est amené à se produire, en intégrant ses dimensions spatiales, acoustiques, historiques et sacrées.
The Notre-Dame de Paris Gregorian Ensemble is part of the musical disposition of the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, more particularly of the Gregorian Chant and Medieval Music department. Composed of professional singers, witch are for the most part issued from the Maîtrise formation, its goal is, with the musicological researches and the Gregorian Chant and Medieval Music department, to promote the medieval sacred repertoire from the Gregorian Chant to the École de Notre-Dame in intimate connexion with the place (the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral) in its spatial, acoustical and sacred dimensions.
